- Beware of other scopes that have only a 110 Volt incandescent bulb. They are NOT halogen, and have no Transformer or Reaostat. They are incapable of varying the light intensity and provide a dimmer, low quality yellowish light!

- The Slide/Stage Movement Knobs on Both sides of scope is a nice feature, as it allows the use of either hand to move the specimen. Great for Left Handed People.
- Most similar looking scopes don’t have any mechanical stage. The specimen must be moved by pushing the specimen slide. This method is difficult and frustrating as you have no fine movement control over the slide and can easily lose your place.
